COHEMO selected in the COINCIDENTE program

COHEMO, Spanish company based in the Community of Madrid specialized in Supply, Maintenance, Engineering and Simulation within the defense sector, has more than 30 years of experience as a partner of the Spanish Army.

The company has been selected in the R&D project for the Cooperation in Scientific Research and Development in Strategic Technologies (COINCIDENTE) program last December 24 when the list of projects selected by the General Directorate of Armament and Material (DGAM) of the Ministry of Defense was made public.

The program focuses on different projects; energy storage for high impulses, Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical (NRBQ) decontamination, detection of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and combatant support robotics.

The Madrid-based company, in collaboration with the Carlos III University of Madrid, was selected for the design and manufacture of an autonomous exploration and reconnaissance vehicle.  A vehicle that will allow advanced platoons in conflict zones to detect, by means of a vehicle equipped with day and night vision cameras, the movements of hostile troops without the need to mortgage the Army's most precious resource, "the human being". This will be a small sized reconnaissance vehicle with sophisticated and advanced technology with the capacity to navigate in a controlled way through controls and screens or autonomously thanks to the incorporation of artificial intelligence.

COHEMO has participated in multiple projects, from which it has developed and acquired the necessary experience to be able to address the design and manufacture of the exploration vehicle. It also collaborates and supports the different State Security Forces, and offers high quality standards and commitment to the customer in each of the services it provides.
