COHEMO will carry out the overhaul of the Army's BMR vehicles
The joint venture formed by SDLE and COHEMO has been awarded the contract with the Spanish Army to support the maintenance of its fleet of BMR (Medium Wheeled Armored Vehicles) and Cavalry Exploration Vehicles (VEC) for nine million euros.
The contract covers overhauls, repairs, modifications, adaptations and testing of all systems, equipment, assemblies and subassemblies, with the exception of electro-optical systems, weapons systems and radio equipment.
It also includes the study and analysis of obsolescence or improvements at any stage of their life cycle. It also includes special services, technical assistance, technical support and training, and support in barracks, maneuver fields and operational areas. The work will last until December 2023.
The file has been managed through a negotiated procedure with advertising and ordinary processing by the Chief of Economic Affairs of the Army Logistics Support Command (MALE). This organization received bids from six companies, with the one submitted by COHEMO being the best in terms of value for money.
The budget is nine million euros, including taxes; however, the estimated value rises to 14.9 million -without VAT- as it includes a possible extension with the same duration as the initial contract.
